Teaching and Learning in Virtual Worlds:
In this course
participants will explore a variety of 2D and 3D virtual worlds
including those designed for children. You will examine research
and theory about games and simulations and their pedagogical
implications, consider the social, interpersonal, cultural, instructional,
technical
implications of virtual worlds, and draw your own conclusions
about the potential for using virtual worlds within your teaching
situation.
This is a 3 credit course through
Marlboro
College Graduate Center.
